Homophone search in XLAM is a type of full-text search, in which, in addition to the original word, all known homophones in the text are also searched.

Homophone search in XLAM uses a set of only English groups of homophones available in the full-text search engine by default.

However, the GroupDocs.Search engine allows you to use homophones for any language. To do this, homophones need only be added to the index.

An example of a homophone search is the query "some", for which the words "some" and "sum" will be found.
